Basketball Recap: South Iron Comes Up Short

South Iron lost against Valle Catholic back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The South Iron Panthers took a hard 72-56 fall against the Valle Catholic Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 415th, while the Warriors are ranked 187th).

South Iron's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Valle Catholic, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

South Iron wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 72-56 defeat against St. Paul Lutheran on the 30th. Valle Catholic has also already played their next match (against West County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
