Volleyball Recap: Dallas Fields Key Part of Team Effort in Firebirds Win

Windsor Charter Academy lost to Forge Christian back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Firebirds had just enough and edged out the Fury 3-2.

Windsor Charter Academy wouldn't go down easily and took Forge Christian into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-19, 22-25, 21-25, 16-14.

Windsor Charter Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dallas Fields out in front who had 16 digs. Those 16 digs gave Fields a new career-high. Nathan Leonard also deserves some recognition as he had his first kills of the season.

Windsor Charter Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They are 4-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Windsor Charter Academy's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 4-6. As for Forge Christian, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windsor Charter Academy will venture away from home to take on Eagle Ridge Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Forge Christian, they will head out to square off against Fort Lupton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Fury are facing the Bluedevils at the right time seeing as the Bluedevils are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
