While Delaware Christian's win against Danville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Blue Devils 3-2 on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won six in a row.

Delaware Christian was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-18, 18-25, 26-24, 15-5.

Taylor Miller and Payton Miller certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Taylor had 11 digs and four aces, while Payton had six digs. Brookelynn Carter also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Delaware Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Danville, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Delaware Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Shekinah Christian at 7:30 p.m. on the 16th. As for Danville, they will venture away from home to take on Mt. Gilead at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
