Softball Game Preview: Indian Land Warriors vs. Clover Blue Eagles

Indian Land hasn't had much luck against Clover recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Warriors will be playing at home against the Blue Eagles at 7:00 p.m.

Indian Land is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Carolina's top teams: Catawba Ridge, who was ranked second at the time (Indian Land was ranked 22nd). The Warriors came up short against the Copperheads on Tuesday, falling 10-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, while Clover put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Northwestern. The Blue Eagles put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 14-0 victory. Considering the Blue Eagles have won eight contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Clover is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Indian Land, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5-1.
