Soccer Recap: Mourning Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Palmetto, Mourning was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They skirted past the Booker T. Washington Tornadoes 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Sharks were the better team in the second half.

Mourning pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four matches. As for Booker T. Washington, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 10-2 record.

Mourning will venture away from home to face off against Palmetto at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Booker T. Washington, they will host Hialeah at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hialeah's last five games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
