Basketball Recap: West Anchorage's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

West Anchorage had won two straight games and Re'Zhanai Wyche did her part to make it three on Thursday. The West Anchorage Eagles blew past the South Anchorage Wolverines, posting a 62-22 win for which the team can thank Wyche, who shot 42% from the field on her way to 22 points in addition to six assists and five steals. She has become a key player for West Anchorage: the team is 7-1 when she posts at least five steals, but 7-8 otherwise.

Sinai Harris was another key player, putting up seven points and six steals. What's more, she also posted a 60% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024.

West Anchorage's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for South Anchorage, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-20.
