Basketball Game Preview: Crisp County Cougars vs. Salem Seminoles

The Crisp County Cougars will face off against the Salem Seminoles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Crisp County is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 81-30 win over Schley County. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season.

Zakariyya Dwight was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 12 boards. He has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last 14 times he's played. Jaylon Cooper was another key player, going 7 for 12 on his way to 18 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Salem made easy work of Cottage Hill Christian Academy on Saturday and carried off a 79-57 victory.

The win (which was Crisp County's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.2 points. As for Salem, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
