Rockcastle County lost a heartbreaker the last time they played North Laurel, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's contest. The Rockets blew past the Jaguars 13-6 on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Rockets sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Jack Childress made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Hunter Pingleton was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Colton Cash, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Rockcastle County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .391 or higher in four consecutive games.

Rockcastle County's record now sits at 25-8. As for North Laurel, they dropped their record down to 16-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Rockcastle County will be playing at home against Southwestern at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rockets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for North Laurel, they will face off against South Laurel at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
