Northwest took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Southeast Polk, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wolves came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rams on Monday, sneaking past 4-2. The win was some much needed relief for the Wolves as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Northwest's victory bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Southeast Polk, their loss dropped their record down to 20-18.

Coming up, Northwest will welcome Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Southeast Polk, they have already played their next match, a 14-0 win against Ottumwa on the 8th.
