Soccer Recap: Covington Gets the Win

Covington gave up the first goal on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They skirted past the Jackson Central Merry Cougars 3-2. For Covington, this counts as revenge for the 5-0 win Jackson Central Merry walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2015.

Covington now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Jackson Central Merry, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Coming up, Covington will square off against Dyersburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jackson Central Merry, they have already played their next matchup, a 5-2 victory against Gibson County on the 18th.
