Softball Game Preview: University Trojans vs. Woodlake Tigers

The University Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Woodlake Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with University sitting on six straight victories and Woodlake on 11.

University is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over Marquez.

Meanwhile, Woodlake won against Golden West two weeks ago with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over Coalinga. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 24 matchups by six runs or more this season.

University pushed their record up to 17-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Woodlake, their victory bumped their record up to 28-1.
