Preview: Mt. Markham Mustangs vs. Herkimer Magicians
Mt. Markham has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Herkimer Magicians at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Mt. Markham and Herkimer are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
On Thursday, things could have been worse for Mt. Markham, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-43 loss to Holland Patent. Mt. Markham has not had much luck with Holland Patent recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Herkimer earned a 46-34 victory over Canastota back in January.
Mt. Markham now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Herkimer, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
Mt. Markham came up short against Herkimer in their previous matchup back in January of 2020, falling 58-51. Can Mt. Markham avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
