Baseball Game Preview: College Park Falcons vs. Acalanes Dons

For the second straight game, College Park will face off against Acalanes. The Falcons will host the Dons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (College Park 3.6, Acalanes 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Tuesday, College Park needed a bit of extra time to put away Acalanes. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Dons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

Sebastian Alvarez looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Riley Meadows, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Vincent 'Tino' Vasell, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

College Park's victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Acalanes, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8-1.
