Baseball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence lost against Greenbrier East back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Patriots fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 4-3.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-1. As for Greenbrier East, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Independence wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-5 win against PikeView on the 14th. As for Greenbrier East, they have also already played their next match, a 14-4 victory against James Monroe on the 14th.
