Montevallo is a perfect 4-0 against Hueytown since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Montevallo Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Hueytown Golden Gophers at 7:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Montevallo managed to keep up with Indian Springs until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Montevallo lost 4-1 to Indian Springs.

Meanwhile, Hueytown's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Bessemer City by a score of 1-0. The Golden Gophers have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meetings.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hueytown fell to 2-1. As for Montevallo, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2-2.

Montevallo was able to grind out a solid victory over Hueytown in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Montevallo since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
