Basketball Recap: Thomas Worthington Takes a Loss

After flying high against Walnut Ridge last Monday, Thomas Worthington came back down to earth. The Thomas Worthington CARDINALS came up short against the Marysville Monarchs on Friday, falling 58-37. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the CARDINALS this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-47 back in December of 2024.

Thomas Worthington has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Marysville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the CARDINALS take on the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Marysville, they will head out on the road to face off against Big Walnut at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
