Soccer Game Preview: Bald Eagle Area vs. Bellefonte

Bald Eagle Area has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will head out to challenge the Bellefonte Red Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bellefonte is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 6.0 goals per game this season.

Bald Eagle Area is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals on Saturday, they were much more limited against Clearfield on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to the Bison. While losing is never fun, Bald Eagle Area can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 245th, while Clearfield are ranked 109th).

Meanwhile, Bellefonte was able to grind out a solid victory over Central on Tuesday, taking the matchup 3-1.

Bellefonte pushed their record up to 3-0-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The victories came by way of their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those three games. As for Bald Eagle Area, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-3-1.
