Baseball Recap: Atholton Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Atholton and Sherwood squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Atholton had to settle for second. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 7-1.

Linus Byrns was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Atholton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joshua Whiting, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Atholton's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-10. As for Sherwood, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Atholton nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
