Baseball Recap: Jacksonville Find Success

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Jacksonville walked away with it. They skirted past the John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers 2-1.

Jacksonville has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-17 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for John Carroll Catholic, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 18-16.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cavaliers beat Jacksonville by a score of 6-1 later that day.
