Basketball Recap: Pomona Falls to Ontario in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Pomona had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were dealt an 80-19 defeat at the hands of the Ontario Jaguars. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Despite the defeat, Pomona saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Destin Tilman went 5-for-10 on his way to 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Damarrion Bridges, who posted two points and seven boards.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Pomona will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on EF Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Ontario, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bloomington at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
