Softball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Enterprise's Winning Streak

After a string of four wins, Enterprise's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 6-3 to the Greene County Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 two weeks ago.

Enterprise got a good showing from Braylee Bergin, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, Bergin didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in February.

On the hitting side, Enterprise saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lenix Addkison, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Enterprise's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Greene County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Enterprise will challenge Southeast Lauderdale at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Enterprise's pitchers better be ready for this one: Southeast Lauderdale has averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Greene County, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Greene County Wildcats face off against Newton County Cougars at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
