Baseball Game Preview: West Lutheran Warriors vs. PACT Charter Panthers

West Lutheran is on a six-game streak of home losses, and PACT Charter a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The West Lutheran Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the PACT Charter Panthers at 4:15 p.m. West Lutheran has given up an average of 6.5 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

West Lutheran couldn't beat Spectrum on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the second inning. The Warriors lost 15-4 to the Sting.

West Lutheran saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mitchell Grant, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run. Spencer Bostic also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, PACT Charter made easy work of Academy for Sciences & Agriculture on Tuesday and carried off a 19-3 win. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

West Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for PACT Charter, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Everything went West Lutheran's way against PACT Charter in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as West Lutheran made off with a 12-1 victory. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
