Preview: Fayette Ware Wildcats vs. Bolton Wildcats
Fayette Ware is 10-0 against Bolton since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Fayette Ware Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Bolton Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Fayette Ware is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bolton in Tennessee (Fayette Ware is ranked 150th, while Bolton is ranked 334th).
After a string of three wins, Fayette Ware's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell to Bolivar Central 57-52.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Markala Terry, who scored 21 points. She hasn't dropped below 16 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ke'miyah Buggs, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Bolton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They were beaten by Bolivar Central 72-40.
Fayette Ware's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Bolton, they dropped their record down to 3-14 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Fayette Ware against Bolton in their previous meeting two weeks ago as the squad secured a 71-20 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fayette Ware since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
