Softball Recap: Liberty Falls Short Against Ranked Palo Verde

Liberty faced Palo Verde in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Patriots took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Liberty saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgyn Vesco, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3-2. As for Palo Verde, their victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0.

Liberty didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-5 win against Coronado on the 8th. As for Palo Verde, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-2 victory against Southeast Career Tech on the 3rd.
