Baseball Game Preview: Oak Forest Academy Yellowjackets vs. Adams County Christian Rebels

For the second straight game, Oak Forest Academy will face off against Adams County Christian. The Yellowjackets will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Rebels at 4:30 p.m. Oak Forest Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Oak Forest Academy's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Adams County Christian as they made off with a 13-0 win. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 games by six runs or more this season.

Logan Freche made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kaul Perkins and Keegan Kelsey did most of the damage at the plate: Perkins got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base, while Kelsey went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Perkins has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kahne Andrews, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Oak Forest Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Adams County Christian only managed two hits.

This is the second loss in a row for Adams County Christian and nudges their season record down to 12-10. As for Oak Forest Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 20-4.
