Recap: Gallatin County Wildcats vs. Simon Kenton Pioneers
The Gallatin County Wildcats pushed their score all the way to 63 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 71-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Simon Kenton. Gallatin County has not had much luck with Simon Kenton recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Simon Kenton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jay Bilton out in front who scored 19 points along with six assists and three steals. Jordan Bach was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Gallatin County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Simon Kenton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-12 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gallatin County's road trip will continue as they head out to face Trimble County at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th. Trimble County has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 23. As for Simon Kenton, they will head out on the road to take on Ryle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
