Baseball Recap: Mills University Studies' Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Mills University Studies's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They never let the Parkview Patriots get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. With that victory, the Comets brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Jackson Powers was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-3. He also brought in three RBI, which is notable because Mills University Studies is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 0-6 otherwise. Elias Noble was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Mills University Studies' win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6. As for Parkview, they are on a 32-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Looking ahead, Mills University Studies will face off against Fountain Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cobras' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Comets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Parkview, they will challenge Vilonia at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
