Football Game Preview: St. Stanislaus Rock-a-Chaws vs. Tylertown Chiefs + Official Tickets

St. Stanislaus is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tylertown Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. St. Stanislaus hasn't scored more than seven points for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

St. Stanislaus is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Stone on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Rock-a-Chaws had to suffer through a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Tomcats. The Rock-a-Chaws were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.

Meanwhile, Tylertown was just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 35-34 to West Marion. The Chiefs gained 127 more yards on the day, but it was the Trojans that made the best use of them.

The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Keonnis Davis and Braxton Albritton. Albritton had a great game and rushed for 86 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 carries. Meanwhile, Davis was balling out in the loss, throwing for 372 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.8 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 83 yards on only 11 carries.

St. Stanislaus' defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Tylertown, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

St. Stanislaus took a serious blow against Tylertown in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 50-21. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Davis, who threw for 278 yards and three TDs while completing 77.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 91 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries. Now that the Rock-a-Chaws know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
