Soccer Game Preview: Scripps Ranch vs. San Diego

The Scripps Ranch Falcons will head out to face off against the San Diego Cavers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Scripps Ranch is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering St. Augustine just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. Neither they nor the Saints could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result kept the Falcons happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 21, 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Riley Suzara, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, San Diego was forced to settle for a draw. They played to a draw too, finishing 1-1 against Cathedral Catholic.

San Diego's draw makes their record 6-4-1 this season. As for Scripps Ranch, they moved theirs to 7-4-2.

Scripps Ranch came up short against San Diego when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 4-2. Can Scripps Ranch avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
