Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Newsome). They were the clear victor by a 9-3 margin over the Chamberlain Storm on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Wolves have posted since April 5, 2024.

Hadley Amos looked comfortable as she pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Sarai Nicholas was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Arriana N Williams also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Newsome was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Newsome's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs over those games. As for Chamberlain, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Newsome will head out to face off against Riverview Sarasota at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Riverview Sarasota will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Newsome surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chamberlain, they will host Strawberry Crest at 7:00 p.m. on March 6th.
