Volleyball Recap: Christopher Takes a Loss

Christopher lost against DuQuoin back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bearcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-19.

Caitlyn DeWeerdt paced Christopher's offense, picking up eight kills. DeWeerdt were helped by Halle Flatt and Riley Furlow, who contributed four assists each.

Christopher dropped their record down to 3-3 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for DuQuoin, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Christopher will be playing at home against Johnston City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Bearcats their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for DuQuoin, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Murphysboro on the 9th.
