League recap: Williams throws longest pass in league this season for Dixon

Nolan Williams and Deion Blakely provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Lindhurst. The connection was good for 70 yards, the longest such play in Golden Empire this season.

Capital Christian moved up to 423 from 509 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Cougars were able to make the jump by beating Marysville 55-12.

The Blazers' dynamic duo of Tim Endicott and Zach Kitchen proved tough for Dixon to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Endicott threw for 302 yards and two touchdowns and Kitchen had 181 yards receiving. Blakely helped Lindhurst's passing attack out by catching two balls for 74 yards.

Quinton Kirk was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 146 yards on 10 carries as Capital Christian fell to the Rams. Brandon Sullivan also contributed to the rushing game with 90 yards on the ground.

Jason Neiber's team's Endicott and Kitchen have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Golden Empire in both passing and receiving yards. Endicott has thrown for 724 yards this season, while Kitchen, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 18 catches for 339 yards. Christian Garcia from Mesa Verde leads the league in rushing with 1093 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Phil Grams' team takes on the Mavericks. At the moment, the Cougars are in second, while Mesa Verde is in third.

Capital Christian made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,216 from 6,657. The advance stemmed from a 55-12 victory over the Indians last week.
