Football Recap: Sho-Ban Comes Up Short

Sho-Ban fell victim to Mackay and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 53-0 loss at the hands of the Miners. The Chiefs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Miners from their previous meeting back in October of 2017.

Mackay was led to victory by Roylee Jones and Grayden Bruley. Jones threw for 168 yards and five TDs, while Bruley picked up 96 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Bruley was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 67 yards. Dax Teichert was in the mix too, providing Mackay with two scores.

Sho-Ban's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Mackay, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Sho-Ban will square off against rival Watersprings at 4:00 p.m. on October 10. Meanwhile, Mackay is set to challenge their familiar foe Challis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
