Basketball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Hallsville Indians, falling 61-23. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-9.

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hallsville, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Highland and Hallsville will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Cougars see the court they'll take on Scotland County at 7:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for Hallsville, their break will end when they face Eugene at 7:30 p.m. on the 16th.
