Softball Recap: Pine Lake Prep Takes a Loss

Pine Lake Prep and Forbush squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Pine Lake Prep had to settle for second. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Pride haven't been shut out since back in March.

Pine Lake Prep's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-4. As for Forbush, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

Pine Lake Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Forbush, they will square off against North Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Comets have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
