Chesnee gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They came out on top against the Broome Centurions by a score of 3-1. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Centurions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2022.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 29-27, 22-25, 25-22.

Chesnee's offense was headlined by Hayden Roberts and Payden Pitman, who picked up 16 kills apiece. They got some help from Abbie Olson and her 24 assists. Maggie Foy controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Chesnee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Easley on the 23rd. As for Broome, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against West-Oak on the 23rd.
