Softball Game Preview: Meadowbrook Academy Mustangs vs. Wildwood Wildcats

The Meadowbrook Academy Mustangs will square off against the Wildwood Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meadowbrook Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Wildwood will be coming in after a loss.

Meadowbrook Academy's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Hernando Christian Academy with a sharp 18-0 win. Considering the Mustangs have won four matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Wildwood came up short against First Academy on Tuesday, falling 15-4.

Kalliyah Corbin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Wildwood's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-14. Those road losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Meadowbrook Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
