Softball Recap: Battle Ground Academy Takes a Loss

Battle Ground Academy was the 17-2 winner over Columbia Academy when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 9-8 on Monday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ellery Baisden made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Cooper Corbett was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Battle Ground Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-11-1. As for Columbia Academy, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Looking ahead, Battle Ground Academy will square off against Lipscomb Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Columbia Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
