Basketball Recap: Sunset Takes a Loss

Sunset was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Sherwood Bowmen 53-16. The match marked the Apollos' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Sunset's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Sherwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Sunset will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ridgeview at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Sherwood also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Southridge at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
