Volleyball Recap: Triton Central Has No Trouble Against Southwestern

Triton Central's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Southwestern Spartans as they made off with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-4, 25-12.

Triton Central found their leader in sophomore Alaina Darlage, who had six digs and six aces. Those six aces set a new season-high mark for Darlage. Makenzie Mink also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Triton Central was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've posted in their last five matchups.

Triton Central is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Southwestern, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.

Triton Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Tri-West Hendricks on the 27th. As for Southwestern, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Tri on the 27th.
