The Destrehan Wildcats will take on the Vandebilt Catholic Terriers in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Destrehan's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

If Destrehan beats Vandebilt Catholic with three goals on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Destrehan had just enough and edged Archbishop Chapelle out 3-2. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Vandebilt Catholic kept a clean sheet against Bossier on Friday. They blew past the Bearkats 8-0. Given the Terriers' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Bearkats are ranked 114th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
