Recap: American Heritage Patriots vs. NSU University Sharks
The American Heritage Patriots lost against the NSU University Sharks back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. American Heritage received a tough blow as they fell 66-47 to NSU University. While losing is never fun, American Heritage can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 422nd, while NSU University is ranked 91st).
It was another big night for Anthony Ferrer, who scored 17 points for NSU University. Ferrer is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Granville, who scored 14 points.
American Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for NSU University, their win bumped their record up to 14-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Patriots will take on the Stallions at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Stallions are coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. NSU University won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hialeah Educational Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Hialeah Educational Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Tuesday.
