It's playoff time, and Hasbrouck Heights had no trouble coming through when it counted. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Wood-Ridge Blue Devils 45-14. The Aviators' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Hasbrouck Heights got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Michael Napolitano out in front who rushed for 85 yards and three TDs on only 12 carries. Napolitano has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Nico Nipitella was another key passer, throwing for 140 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

Hasbrouck Heights didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Mike Colaneri and Napolitano.

Despite the defeat, Wood-Ridge saw an underclassman step up: freshman Dominick Dominick rushed for 128 yards and one score on only 15 carries, and also threw for 51 yards and one TD.

Hasbrouck Heights pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.0 points over those games.
