Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for East Lyme

East Lyme gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They blew past the St. Bernard Saints 14-3. Fans of the Vikings have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Ryan Wargo was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Greyson Biggs, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

The victory was the third in a row for East Lyme, bringing their record up to 3-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 13.7 runs this season. As for St. Bernard, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, East Lyme will head out on the road to take on Killingly at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Bernard, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Norwich Free Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
