Baseball Recap: Highlands Takes a Loss

Highlands had lost five straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 6-11 to make it six. They fell just short of the Burrell Bucs by a score of 2-0. Surprisingly, this marked the Golden Rams' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

As for Burrell, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8. They haven't had any issues with Highlands recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

For Burrell's part, not much got past Brayden Mell, who gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks to keep Highlands off the board.

Looking ahead, Highlands will host Apollo Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Golden Rams surely won't give up without a fight. As for Burrell, they will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Freeport at 4:15 p.m.
