Recap: Prairie Heights Panthers vs. Lakeland Christian Academy Cougars
The Prairie Heights Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Lakeland Christian Academy, posting a 64-26 victory on the road. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Prairie Heights as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Prairie Heights to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Boots, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Sarah Park, who scored 21 points.
Prairie Heights' win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Lakeland Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Prairie Heights will be playing in front of their home fans against Eastside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Eastside presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Prairie Heights in Indiana (Eastside is ranked 36th, while Prairie Heights is ranked 254th). As for Lakeland Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Trinity at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Trinity focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Saturday.
