Recap: Robinson Bulldogs vs. Concord Spiders

After flying high against the Lake Norman Charter Knights last Monday, the Robinson Bulldogs came back down to earth. Robinson was just a bucket shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 52-51 to Concord. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Robinson of the 63-55 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Tuesday.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was David Frazier, who scored 11 points. Londen Roseman was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Jeremiah Howard continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Concord, dropping a triple-double on 13 points, ten rebounds, and ten blocks. Howard hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Judah Freeman, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.

Robinson has not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 17-8 record this season. As for Concord, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-9.

Robinson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Concord, they will play host again and welcome Central Cabarrus, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
