Recap: Lowell Cardinals vs. Washington Eagles

It was a good run, but the Lowell Cardinals unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 59-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Washington. Lowell was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Washington apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Korey Abantao was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with three steals for Washington. Quadir Jules was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals.

Lowell's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Washington, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 18-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lowell will take on Lincoln at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Lincoln is coming into the contest with five straight wins on the road, meaning Lowell will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Washington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Galileo at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Washington has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 300 points over their last four matches.
