It was a good run, but Waccamaw unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Georgetown Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 5-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Waccamaw saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Craft, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Waccamaw's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-4. As for Georgetown, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.

While Waccamaw had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
