Basketball Recap: Logan Schroedl's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Ainsworth over Hyannis

On Friday, the Ainsworth Bulldogs were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 51-47 to the Hyannis Longhorns.

Ainsworth's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logan Schroedl, who went 7-for-13 to rack up 16 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. The match was Schroedl's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Witten Painter was another key player, putting up ten points.

Ainsworth's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Hyannis, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.

Coming up, Ainsworth will challenge North Central on Tuesday. Hyannis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
